Overview
The Nexus Matrix is a living, omnipresent system embedded in the fabric of the universe. Created by a group of god-like machines, these entities merged with the Matrix during its formation, imbuing it with sentience and enigmatic motivations. The Matrix enables users to perform “magic” by connecting invisible points across time and space, with its power accessible at three distinct levels. The system is regulated by a construct known as the Interposer, which imposes safeguards to prevent catastrophic misuse.

How does it work?

Two particles can be connected together, regardless of distance. This is quantum entanglement. Only one particle can be connected to one other particle, but sets of connected particles can be grouped together to create a surface or a volume. This is called Recruitment. Recruited groups can be formed into two and three-dimensional shapes.

Examples:
A two-dimensional disk shape can be used as the basis for a portal that passes matter.
A three-dimensional gold or copper sphere might be used as conductors to transfer electricity.
