The Rings of Callifrey

The MacGuffin of “AETHER”, the Rings of Callifrey are rumored to be a weapon of mass destruction. Umbra Priestess Vilma steals one of them from Greystone Barony in the hopes of joining it with its sister ring. Combined, their power could destroy Countess’s kingdom of Yorke.

Secret: The rings, while pretty to look at, are actually just fancy jewelry. In the early 21st century wearable devices with motion graphics displays were all the rage–often worn to dance clubs.

Secret 2: The name Callifrey is an homage to Gallifrey, the home world of Doctor Who.

The actual rings were sold under the product name “Nebula V” (Nebula Five), due to its default view of a colorful space nebula.
