Notes: Countess is at the top of her game, but she isn’t a spring chicken any more…she’s starting to feel her age. She’s still fast, agile and lethal when she needs to be.
Countess has spent a vast majority of her career working alone. When she’s made the leader of a small group, she has some difficulty. She is a professional who does well at adapting to tense situations, so eventually she settles into the role.
As a series character, Countess has no character arc. She’s already well adapted. However, those around her do change.

Secret: Countess is technically a cyborg. She is human, and alive, but not in the traditional sense. She’s a human nervous system (brain) being kept alive by a cocktail of nutrients and other things, like support drugs and immune system boosters. Her body is over 90% artificial–an android body called an Operarius, a highly customized nanotechnology vat-grown system.
As far as Operarios go, Countess is one of the most specialized ones ever created. Holly has built her up in layers to create a master infiltrator for the purpose of physically bypassing Phoenix facility security.
1. Ella Wellington herself – the human component, a brain integrated into, and supported by the Operarius body.
2. Custom Operarius body – light armor, build for speed and agility. Can run at Cheetah speed and perform Olympic gymnastic routines. Her bones are a diamond composite–80% lighter than the the human equivalent, but about 20-times stronger (tensile strength).
3. Custom Animus software (not mainly for control, but to influence Countess’s actions, motivation, heighten awareness, dull senses (like pain, sense of smell), etc…) Like a co-processor for Countess’ brain.
4. Typhon Implant / Tac-Com – a highly-custom version of the implant technology created and used at the Elysium facility. Holly has developed a military-grade command-and-control system as well as a database of weapons and techniques to engage with, and defeat, just about any kind of adversary you could imagine. A 21st-century Pentagon General would be jealous! In this, Holly has again expressed herself in a brute-force and overkill manner.

Countess’ Deep Past: Countess was a “Lost Soul” from “The Underworld” (Asphodel), a special wing of the medical level in Eternal Taiga. This is where Holly is getting subjects for her “Pipeline” training and testing program.
As a little girl in the 21st century, she was in a car accident with her mother and sister. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene. She and her sister were stabilized at Archangel Medical Center and when the prognosis came that they would not likely survive, both were rushed to Eternal Taiga and interred as Lost Souls (put into medical stasis until such time as they could be healed and have a reasonably happy life).
They were afforded this cutting-edge and exotic medical care because their father was an important person in Phoenix. Unfortunately, this procedure is highly classified, and kept secret even from the family. The father was told his family had died in the accident.
